well the fitula she just got in the left arm appears to be working fine. now we have to wait 4 weeks for it to mature ( enlarge and thicken the vein )
then they will see about bring it to the surface.. so about 7 weeks at the earliest she will be able to remove the mainline in her chest!

she also has a transplant team meeting this wensday coming up. they will do tests and what not to see if she qualifies for a transplant. then we get to start looking for a family or freind donor ...

Well Tabby came home from dialisis today and told me that they didnt get to do dialisis. Seems her mainline in her chest is now clogged.
so tomorrow when she goes in for her fistula surgery they will also do surgery to replace this mainline. kinda scary for us since it is a catheter going to her heart. they will have to remove and replace it. a risk for bleeding anf infection. plus a longer time under for her and since she has health problems it raises risks for other problems.

Well we have just returned from a Doctors appointment in springfield mo. We found out that the last operation to duild a Fistula in Tabbys right arm at the wrist didnt work.. they get no pulse or sounds from the site.

next week on the 19th we return to have them attempt it again on her left arm at the elbow. this is the same operation but just a little higher up on the arm.. but there is Good and Bad with it. First the location they are choosing this time will have larger arteries ...

well today tabby gets to get a Fistula in her arm. keep her in your thoughts and prays please.

Since its been a while since i posted i figured it was time to update everyone.

Tabitha's diagnosis has changed a little, its now ANCA-Positive Vasculitis, but this could again change as treatment goes on. wegeners, Goodpasture, and others such as anca-p, anca-c, and anca positive vasculitis all are closely related. She is receiving dialysis 3x a week for 4 hours each treatment. this is a high treatment time but it is helping keep her fluids under control.
